Ingredients
4bonelessskinless chicken thighs
1tbspolive oil
2garlic clovesfinely grated or minced
3tbsphoney
2tbspsoy sauce
1tbsprice vinegar or lemon juice
½tspchilli flakesoptional
Salt and pepperto taste
Sliced spring onions and sesame seedsto garnish (optional)
Instructions
Season the chicken thighs with a little salt and pepper.
Heat a non-stick frying pan likethis over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and chicken thighs, and cook for about 4–5 minutes per side using tongs likethese until golden and mostly cooked through.
In a small mixing bowl likethis, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, finely grated garlic (one likethis works brilliantly), vinegar or lemon juice, and chilli flakes if using.
Pour the sauce into the pan with the chicken. Reduce the heat slightly and let it simmer for 8–10 minutes, turning the chicken occasionally until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
Once the chicken is fully cooked and coated in the glaze, remove from the heat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and spring onions if using.
